DIY: Jewelry Hooks

In DIY by Laura

I am always looking for new and creative ways to hang my jewelry. It seemed like my jewelry was always tangled up in a drawer or hung on some unattractive piece of equipment from Claire’s and lets be honest, neither of those are great situations to be in.

My friend Kate is an extremely creative human and would always be crafting up some DIY project that she saw online somewhere. Kate is the type of person who will see a picture of something and think, “Oh…I could do that.” From hanging¬†glass terrariums to felt soap – this girl can seriously do it all.

One day we decided to make these jewelry hangers out of just a piece of plywood and some creative knobs. See for yourself how easy this was!

Supplies Needed:

  • Wood
  • Paint
  • Drill
  • Knobs
  • Ruler

We went to the local hardware store and had them cut us up a piece of wood. It was pretty cheap, maybe a couple dollars or so. We then bought a can of spray paint, some knobs from Cost Plus, and we were on our way. We started out by painting the wood and then leaving it outside to dry. We then measured the wood and divided by four in order to make sure we were drilling in appropriate increments. We drilled the holes into the wood and then screwed the knobs in. It was so easy, I could hardly believe it! See more pictures below.
