Being able to walk through the rain without getting wet was really unintuitive. MoMA and Random International created an “immersive environment” that allowed the human body to control the rain flow. I love the idea of art and audience interaction – the idea that we are a piece of the art or that the art could not happen without the participation of the human body.
The Rain Room was only open from May – July 2013. Michal and I had an excellent time, both waiting in line for three hours and participating in the art. You can read more about the exhibit on the MoMA website.
